We were approached last week by Ian Noah, the exec director of the first ever Freetown Film Festival
It just so happnes that we will be in Freetown during the time of the film festival and have been invited to speak about our work with young people in both Freetown & Hull and how we hope film making to develop long last friendships between young people in both cities. We will also be screening a large selection of films produced by young people in Freetown & Hull as part of the festival programme.
Welcome to the Freetown Film Festival (FFF)
16th-18th March 2007
The Globe Cinema, 30 Syke Street, Freetown
This year is the inaugural event of what promises to be an important annual event in the calendar of culture-loving Sierra Leoneans and film fans around the world!
The Freetown Film Festival will provide a unique showcase for Sierra Leone films and an insight into the tremendous growth of local filmmaking and its potential for the future. It provides everyone with a chance to gather together, to network and to meet with screen actors, filmmakers, production teams, corporate sponsors, film investors, and other relevant people. The best work will be selected for further international screenings in the UK and USA.
We will keep everyone updated about the festival via our blog but if you need further info here is Ian’s contact details :-
