Richmond Literary Festival

Client – Richmond Literary Festival // Orleans House Gallery
Brief – To work with a community of young travellers and produce a mixed media exhibition

The Richmond Literature Festival invites you to join us for the grand unveiling of the Richmond Literary Salon on Wednesday 9th November from 7pm till 9pm.

The literary salon houses VIT – an exhibition of film and photography by young people from the local travelling community who have been working with visual artist Jon Robson and writer Ross Sutherland.

Young people from the local traveller community share their ambitions, ideas, fears and opinions in this exhibition of photography and film work.

The group invite the outside world to view their lives as travellers. Through images, film and audio, the group describe daily life as young travellers, revisiting traditions of storytelling to create a vibrant exhibition celebrating their culture and identity.
